The world of marketing is constantly evolving, but with the technological advances we’ve seen over the past few years, keeping up with technology is no longer just an advantage, it’s a necessity.

With AI and other technologies continuously shaping the landscape, professionals and academics alike need to arm themselves with the latest tools, strategies, and insights to remain competitive.

Recognising this need, Deakin MarTech Lab, in collaboration with RawSpark, is proud to present the MarTech Intercept Workshop – an event designed for marketing industry professionals and academics eager to navigate the ever-evolving MarTech terrain.

Set to take place at Deakin Downtown, in the centre of Melbourne, the MarTech Intercept Workshop is the first of its kind in Australia, run by a university.

The event promises an enriching experience for attendees, serving as a melting pot of knowledge, and bringing together the industry’s leading experts and practitioners to delve into the latest trends, technologies, and strategies reshaping modern marketing.

“The MarTech Intercept Workshop is an essential event for marketing industry professionals and academics who want to stay ahead of the curve in the rapidly evolving MarTech landscape,” says Associate Professor Ali Tamaddoni Jahromi, of Deakin Business School’s MarTech Lab.

“This workshop series will bring together the industry’s leading experts and practitioners to share their insights on the latest trends, technologies, and strategies.”

At the heart of the workshop lies an invaluable opportunity for attendees to glean insights directly from seasoned professionals who are instrumental in the industry changes we’re seeing.

Those experts include Andy Lark, a globally awarded marketing leader and entrepreneur who has led successful start-ups, launched apps used by millions, built one of the largest eCommerce sites in the world, and is an honorary member of Deakin University, as the Adjunct Professor of Marketing. If you have read his blog, The Daily Lark, or any of his books, you would not want to miss a chance of being part of his workshop to hear insights and experiences straight from the man himself.

Colin Klein will also be sharing his knowledge about investing, and how he helps companies create new revenue streams via channel partners and to create GTM and commercialisation strategies. With over 150 successful start-ups under his belt, Colin knows how to get results that maximise revenue, increase valuations, and ensure a successful expansion.

And the experts behind MarTech consultancy The Lumery, Rajan Kumar and Dr Jason Pallant, will be holding an exclusive workshop demonstrating how The Lumery uses data and technology to bridge the void between brands and customers.

These are just a few of the speakers who will be exploring innovative marketing methodologies, so participants can expand their horizons and fortify their current skill sets.

Whether you’re a seasoned marketer seeking to refine your strategies, or an academic eager to explore the intersection of theory and practice, the MarTech Intercept Workshop offers something for everyone.

Associate Professor Tamaddoni Jahromi says the workshop series will be useful to attendees who want to:

  • use MarTech to improve their marketing performance
  • automate marketing workflows
  • personalise customer experiences
  • measure and analyse results of their marketing campaigns
  • stay ahead of the competition in the ever-changing digital landscape, and
  • staying up-to-date with the latest technologies used by marketers and consumers.

And, while the technical content is undeniably useful, the world of marketing runs on networking. Beyond the enriching educational content, the MarTech Intercept Workshop offers a unique platform for networking and collaboration with some of the best in the business. Attendees will have plenty of opportunity to engage with like-minded professionals, forge valuable connections, and exchange ideas that could potentially shape the future of their career or academic pursuits.

“This is a unique opportunity to learn from the industry’s leading experts and practitioners, and to network with other professionals in the field,” says Associate Professor Tamaddoni Jahromi.

Deakin’s MarTech Lab is an initiative of Deakin Business School’s Department of Marketing. Its focus is on effective application of marketing technologies for businesses, design/architecture of marketing automation tools, and other technology-based marketing services.
