Deakin Business School is excited to announce the launch of a new annual Macro Development Workshop series commencing 6-7 July, 2023.

The workshop aims to bring together researchers worldwide interested in development issues from a macro perspective to exchange their ideas and latest research findings.

The inaugural workshop will be held on 6-7 July 2023 in the Melbourne Central Business District.

Keynote Speaker

We are delighted to announce that Professor Diego Restuccia will present the inaugural keynote address. Professor Diego Restuccia holds the Canada Research Chair in Macroeconomics and Productivity at the University of Toronto, Canada and is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) in Cambridge MA, USA. In 2019, Professor Restuccia received the Bank of Canada Fellowship Award. He is also a Research Director of the Macroeconomic Development Group at the Research Institute for Development, Growth, and Economics (RIDGE) in Montevideo, Uruguay, and currently serves on the Advisory Committee of the Trade, Integration, and Growth Network of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association (LACEA-TIGN).
