SPARK Deakin’s Accelerator Program is Deakin’s flagship entrepreneurial initiative.

At SPARK Deakin we exist to create a thriving society powered by Deakin founders through empowering students, staff, and alumni to be impactful entrepreneurs. Our Acccelerator program offers funding, mentorship and access to office space for early stage entrepreneurs.

Applications are now open for the 2019 Accelerator Program with $60,000 of perks

SPARK Deakin has a strong mentor network, a great co-working space in Melbourne CBD and gives you the opportunity to build valuable connections with potential investors.

As a part of the program, you will go through an intensive 3-month journey centred around a series of masterclasses and mentoring sessions to boost your growth. We help startups from all categories and passionate teams with a commitment to pursuing their business full time get the support they need.

So, if you’re an ambitious, curious and dedicated founder working on a scalable startup, we’re here to accelerate your growth.

Key Dates:

  • Now – 29th April : book in a mentoring session
  • 29th April: Applications Close
  • 8th-11th May: Accelerator Intensive Workshop with experts from the US (20 teams will receive a place in this)
  • 10th June – 30th August: 12-week program with extended access to space.

Program inclusions: 

  • entry to a community of ambitious, persistent and generous founders, because your tribe matters
  • up to $60K value including $10K equity-free funding
  • 12 weeks of regular workshops on the key drivers to grow your startup, including customer development, sales, marketing, building your team, investment and pitching
  • access to our CBD co-working space for 6 months at Deakin Downtown (727 Collins St, Melbourne) which offers sophisticated, technology-rich, flexible spaces for meetings and workshops (valued at $3600)
  • legal advice through our partnership with Deakin’s Venture Law Clinic
  • regular mentorship
  • $7500 credit for Amazon Web Services
  • $20K credit for Google for Startups, including the Cloud platform, plus one-to-one office hours with the folks at Google
  • 90% off Hubspot marketing, sales and customer service software for the first 12 months (average saving of $17K)
  • access to a network of the best corporate partners, advisors and experts.
