Mahatma Gandhi: An Immigrant Exhibition

Deakin students enter free upon presenting their student ID.

This digital interactive exhibition honours the period of Gandhi's stay in South Africa and his subsequent personal transformation from this experience.

An Immigrant exhibition at the Immigration Museum from now until 15 July 2018. Deakin University is a proud sponsor of this inspiring digital exhibition that focuses on Gandhi’s years as a migrant and key events in a life dedicated to fighting injustice. The exhibition features more than 1,000 photographs, rarely seen archival footage, voice recordings of Gandhi’s speeches, objects on loan from the Mahatma Gandhi Digital Museum in Delhi, and one-of-a-kind historical and cultural artefacts from Museum Victoria’s collection.

The Exhibition is open daily from 10am – 5pm
