How employee volunteer friendly is your workplace?

Leadership is increasingly concerned with attracting and retaining talent. Research shows that a key decision making factor for many of the millennial job seekers is the degree to which the organisation gives back to the community. Thus having an effective employee/corporate volunteering program is paramount for success in contemporary organisations.

Considering that leaders drive organisational culture and make decisions about what to consider when developing or improving a volunteering program, this topic explores the leadership role in how to assess the degree to which an organisation is ‘employee volunteer friendly’ and how to create a volunteer friendly workplace for corporate volunteers.

The panel of speakers from across the corporate, non-for-profit and university sectors will delve into how an organisational culture of volunteering is inspired, lived, and evidenced. It will highlight that the implementation of a vibrant, effective volunteering program requires more than just resources or a token policy.
