Research participants needed: what’s it like being Afghan in Geelong?

Researchers are seeking to understand social cohesion in the Afghan community in Geelong.

We are seeking members of Geelong's Afghan community to participate in a university survey mapping the place of Afghans in multicultural Australia.

We are a team of university researchers seeking to understand social cohesion in the new established, developing, Afghan community in Geelong. We would like to invite Geelong residents of Afghan heritage who are over the age of 18 to participate.

This project gives you an opportunity to:

  • Talk about your experiences living in Geelong
  • Provide feeback on what your community needs

The research will involve interviews from a brief 30 minutes to 2.5 hours in length.

All participants will be reimbursed with a supermarket voucher of the value of $20.
