The Deakin Commerce Society and Deakin Business School present the 11th annual Deakin Think Tank Challenge, proudly sponsored by Pronto Software and Bowater Trust.
What is it?
The Deakin Think Tank Challenge is a fun and exciting competition open to all Deakin undergraduate students. Working in teams of four, students will attempt to provide their best and most innovative solution to a real life business problem provided by industry partner – the Challenger Dimension Data.
For all student participants, this competition is a valuable opportunity to develop your problem solving skills, graduate employability and industry networks. You might also impress a potential employer!
How does it work?
Registered teams will compete in a preliminary round on Tuesday 25th July 2017 to demonstrate their innovation and problem-solving skills. Each team will be presented with a unique case study and have 15 minutes to brainstorm a suitable response. Teams will each have five minutes to present their response to a panel of judges.
The four best teams will be selected to participate in the finals and introduced to a real-life challenge encountered by the Challenger. Over the next eight weeks, students will develop their solutions with the support of post graduate mentors and access to the Challenger including a site visit.
The Deakin Think Tank Challenge Finals will be held at the Melbourne Burwood campus on Wednesday 20th September 2017 at 6pm. The four teams will present to a judging panel and audiences made up of Deakin University, industry and community representatives.
Cash prizes are available to winning teams!
