The Big Idea is more than just a competition.

In 2016 Deakin University participated in the Big Idea competition in association with The Big Issue. The Big Idea is a social enterprise planning competition between university students around the country, students are invited to develop a concept and business plan that might become the next 'Big Issue', and potentially change the lives of thousands of disadvantaged Australians around the country.

Deakin had six teams competing over the course of Trimester 2, with five teams pitching there idea to a panel of judges at the Deakin Internal Judging Day. Congratulations to our semi-finalists, Connect Us (undergraduate) and Survey Champs (postgraduate). Well done to team Survey Champs who delivered a great presentation in the state semi-finals.
