An exciting competition for all undergraduate students.
The Deakin Commerce Society and Deakin Business School (DBS) present the 10th annual 'Deakin Think Tank Challenge', proudly sponsored by Dimension Data.
What is it?
The Deakin Think Tank Challenge (DTTC) is a fun and exciting competition open to all Deakin undergraduate students. It is an opportunity to test your skills, ability to think-on-your-feet, develop your employability skills and establish important connections and networks with industry. You might also impress a potential employer! AND. WIN. CASH.
Students will compete in teams of four to provide the best and most innovative solution to a real business problem chosen by the 'Challenger'.
How does it work?
Registered teams will compete in a preliminary round on Wednesday 3 August, which will provide an opportunity for participants to demonstrate their skills in innovation, creativity and ability to problem solve. Participants in the preliminary round will be provided with a question and 15 minutes to brainstorm and discuss a response. Teams will have 5-10 minutes to present their response to a panel of judges. A shortlist of four teams will be finalised during the preliminary rounds to participate in the finals.
The final four teams will be introduced to the 'Challenger', a secret, not-for-profit industry partner, who will provide them with the 2016 challenge. Over the next five weeks, students will develop their solution to the challenge. During that time, teams will be supported by academic mentors and will have access to the 'Challenger' and their organisation.
The DTTC final will be held at the Melbourne Burwood campus on Wednesday 14 September at 6 pm. Finalists will present their solution to the 'Challenger', members of Deakin University senior executive, DBS industry partners, staff and students.
