The evening will feature Mukund Narayanamurti, one of the founders of the Deakin Commerce Alumni Chapter and winner of the Deakin Alumnus of the Year Award in 2011.

Mukund Narayanamurti biography

Mr Narayanamurti built his experience at KPMG facilitating engagement between Australia and Asia in sectors including energy and resources, banking, agribusiness, education and information technology. He received his MBA from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. Mr Narayanamurti also holds a Master of International Tax from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Deakin University. He was awarded an Australian Leadership Award from the Australian Davos Connection in 2012.
 
Cited in the Australian Financial Review as 'the New Coach for Team Australia', Mr Narayanamurti will share his insights on how Australia can partner with businesses in Asia, and build the critical skills, knowledge and networks needed to harness the evolving opportunities in our region.  

Currently the CEO of Asialink Business, he is leading Asialink Business’ mandate from the Commonwealth Government (Department of Industry, Innovation & Science), the Myer Foundation and the University of Melbourne, to create an Asia capable workforce in Australia through the delivery of practical training programs, research and information products and advocacy.
