Geelong Business Trends Survey 2015

Here’s what you need to know.

Deakin Business School and the Geelong Chamber of Commerce have launched the second survey of business confidence and industry activity in the Geelong region.

The Geelong Business Trends Survey 2015 focuses on general business confidence, business performance, business sentiment as well as issues and barriers affecting performance.

At a glance, the survey outcomes demonstrate that business confidence has increased and performance over the past year was sound, with year-on-year growth. The report also shows that outsider and resident perception of Geelong is increasingly positive. A variety of issues have also emerged from the report, including cost of recruitment, lack of work opportunities, economic uncertainty and increased competition.

The Geelong Business Trends Survey 2015 report provides a snapshot of business activity and businesses’ views towards the future. You can access a full version of the survey on the Deakin Business School website. Please contact Bernadette Uzelac at the Geelong Chamber of Commerce (bernadette.uzelac@geelongchamber.com.au) if you want your business to participate in the 2016 survey.
