Pako Festa – marketing and events

Assist the Pako Festa team in the promotion and coordination of Pako Festa to be held on 27 February 2015. The free festival attracts over 100,000 people to Pakington Street Geelong West, to celebrate multicultural Australia at it’s best. Hours and days to be negotiated

Tasks/duties:
• Assist developing a market plan for the 2016 event
• Work on strategies on how to engage with community groups, schools, performers to participate in the event in creative ways
• Participate in a social media and email blasts
• Participate in volunteering on the festival day as a safety warden and general set-up
• General administrative duties

Prerequisites:

• Currently studying marketing within the events stream
• Interested in festivals and promoting multiculturalism
• Good understanding of social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram)
• Intermediate to advance computer skills
• Great interpersonal skills

Diversitat – human resource internship    

Assist in the development and/or improvements of various projects, which may include one of the following: induction, health and wellbeing, job evaluations, HR policies and procedures and OH&S. The project will depend on the successful applicant’s interests and abilities.

• Work on strategies to improve communication across the workforce
• Assist in the implementation of new procedures
• Participate in developing team building sessions
• General administrative duties

• Currently studying human resources
• Interested in community services
• Intermediate to advance computer skills
• Great interpersonal skills
