Sport Management students work with the San Diego Padres and San Diego Chargers in California.

Deakin Sport Management students have spent two weeks working with the San Diego Padres and San Diego Chargers in California as part of the San Diego Sports Consulting Project (SDSCP).

The SDSCP is designed to give students an opportunity to leverage their existing business skills, as well as develop new ones, in an exciting and challenging sports business environment.

The goal is to team up with graduate students at Ohio University and serve as project co-managers  in overseeing a team of five undergraduate students.

Clients the students worked with:

San Diego Padres (Major League Baseball) ticketing and sponsorship, ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) San Diego Chapter, Farmers Insurance Torrey Pines PGA Tournament, Competitor Group, Connexions.
