Deakin Business School invites you to the inaugural Indigenous Accounting and Business Conference. The two day conference is a forum for business owners and leaders, finance professionals, researchers and policymakers to share information and knowledge that addresses the impact of financial skills and its role in Indigenous success.  

The conference features keynote speakers Professor Marcia Langton, foundation chair of Australian Indigenous Studies at the University of Melbourne and Mr Russell Taylor, principal of the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander studies (AIATSIS).
 
Sessions over the two days will include Indigenous business success stories; role of education in Indigenous success; Indigenous accounting associations overseas; government policy for Indigenous economic development; reconciliation action plans; Indigenous Australian accountants: my story; governance and Indigenous organisations; and strategies for meaningful employment of Indigenous peoples.

The conference includes all lunches, dinner and entertainment at the end of the first day.
